Tokeneke Classic Road Race

• New England Regional Championship medals should be mailed out by the end of the week. We will send out another e-mail when the championship results have been finalized (next day or two).

A few items and information / feedback

• If there is a problem with results (you are not there, wrong place, etc.) then e-mail us. JD at Pioneer Event Productions has always been excellent at finding and fixing problems.
• The State Police presence (or lack) was a problem this year, again. Just so you know, the local Berkhamsted trooper did everything right to set up the schedule, and on Sunday went out of his way to work the race and get us coverage. We are working with him to make sure the problem (in the central secheduling office) does not impact us next year.
• The feed zone was pretty crowded. We are trying to figure out a better way - extending it, moving it, or something.
• The long walk from parking to registration is a perennial complaint. We haven't figured out a better way yet but we will work on that again.
• Cat 3 and Masters 35+ fields mixing - the M 35+ passed the Cat 3 at the finish and it was confusing. We will try to address this next year - larger starting time-gap, switching start order, or something else.

The Tokeneke Classic is a bicycle race organized by and for racers, looping around the Berkhamsted reservoir in central Connecticut. The area was chosen because of the challenging terrain and spectacular beauty of the race course. We think it is one of the best courses in the Northeast, and we've raced a few of them. The course consists of multiple loops around a hilly 22-mile circuit with about 2000 feet of climbing per lap.
